Curriculum Support

Head of Department: N Cromwell

Dedicated to helping students achieve.

What is mentoring?
Mentoring is a process of ongoing support and development dealing with topics that have been identified as barriers to learning.
Mentors work with students during regular, one to one sessions, in small groups or during larger projects. One to one sessions occur weekly and last for six weeks. This can be extended when necessary.

Mentors work in a flexible manner, adapting sessions to the needs of the individual student. They allocate dedicated time to each student mentee where strategies are discussed and established, enabling students to improve skills and raise achievement.

Our mentors help with the personal, social and academic development of an individual student.
