The department is very successful in St Thomas More School. We have had a 100% A2 pass rate for the last 12 years. Our GCSE results are good and in line with the national average and the school average pass rate.
The department has four designated History classroom all equipped with Interactive Whiteboards and we will soon have a full computer suite.
We try to run trips for all year groups:
- Year 7 go to Mountfitchett Castle
- Year 8 have a trip to the Tower of London and the London Dungeon
- Year 9 visit the Imperial War Museum
- Year 10 and 11 take a trip to Berlin
- Year 12 and 13 visit the Belgian Battle Fields
