“The St Thomas More Catholic School Library Learning Resources Centre is a place for all students to develop their study and independent learning skills.  Reading for pleasure, as well as for academic purposes, is regularly promoted through dynamic initiatives so we can continue to develop our whole-school attitude to reading”.

"The LRC is a regulated and also quiet and peaceful environment.  I believe it is very important that all of St Thomas More's students are welcomed into the LRC, that they have very clear expectations in relation to their conduct and behaviour and feel comfortable and confident enough to be themselves"
Miss Elliott - Librarian/Learning Resources Manager

All of our students and members of staff are most welcome to visit our brand new school Library/Learning Resources Centre is being rebuilt.

It is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, so you are able to visit before, during and after school.  There are many activities showcased in the LRC to promote independent learning and reading.  There is the very popular book club, an after-school homework club, regular school trips, various author visits (we have been fortunate to have been visited by Jonny Zucker, Bernard Ashley, Catherine Johnson, Valerie Bloom and Dan Freedman, just to name a few!!) and many more interesting and fun activities based around your learning.  The LRC is for all year groups and has resources to support the work that is based in the classroom.

Our Sixth Form are encouraged to use the LRC in their free periods to improve and develop their independent learning, study and research skills.

The 'STM School Shop' is located in the LRC so you are able to buy all the stationery you need for your learning, including USB Drives, pens, pencils, rubbers and school ties and badges.
