Rudolp Walker Inter-Schools Winners

Our pupils have been crowned the winners at the recent Rudolph Walker Inter-Schools Drama Awards!

Year 10 pupils Vanessa Sampaney, Amiyah Cottoy, Ronaldo Trim and Jaime Bile were crowned winners of  the Best Production at the Rudolph Walker Inter Schools Drama Award after performing their piece entitled ‘Shackled’ on stage at the Theatre Royal Stratford East. The group devised the performance, which explored slavery, with the support of their mentor Hollyoaks star Michael Salami.

The panel of judges, which included Eastenders stars Diane Parish and Danny Walters, claimed their piece was inspirational and thought provoking. Amiyah Cottoy was also awarded Best Actress for her emotive portrayal of Mary. The group were awarded their trophies by Rudolph Walker and Trinidad and Tobago’s High Commissioner His Excellency Mr Orville London.
