PTA

The school has a strong PTA and all parents and staff are automatically members.

The objective of the PTA is to: advance the education of the pupils at the school by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school not normally provided by the Local Authority.

The Association will:

  1. foster more extended relationships between the staff, the parents and others associated with the school, and
  2. engage in activities that support the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it.

Each year a Committee is elected and plan a series of events aimed at improving communication between school and home, discussing matters of mutual interest, fundraising and contributing to a shared vision for St Thomas More Catholic School.

Each year the PTA puts on a programme of events including a celebration of Black History, a Carol Service, a very popular Quiz Nite and an annual Festival of Sport involving many partner primary schools.

The PTA was involved in discussions concerning the now completed Building Schools for the Future (BSF) project and gives its views on issues such as the school’s Behaviour Policy and Student Journal.

The PTA produces its own newsletter about once a term and the good work that it does has been recognised in St Thomas More Catholic School being the first in Haringey to do so.

PTA Joining Form

One of our parents said, "I wanted to join the PTA as I was interested in what was happening in the school and to have good relationships with my son's teachers.  It has really helped."
