Thursday, 21 March - News Day:
Jaemal Fergus and Sofia De Freitas, both in Year 10, appeared in an 'Education Special' filmed live for the BBC. The programme went live at 12.30pm on Thursday, 21 March 2012 and can be viewed again via the following URL.

The show will also be available to watch throughout the day via the 'red button' on BBC1.

Throughout the day the school report team was busy filming and editing a special news package which will be available to watch on the school website.

ST THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC SCHOOL

The Executive Headteacher, Mr Tissot and Governors are delighted to announce that the Secretary of State for Education has designated St Thomas More an Academy School.

Congratulations to all involved in the process for their hard work. Thanks are particularly due to Andrea Squires and her team at Winckworth Sherwood, Solicitors.
