Girls:
- Navy blue pleated or flared skirt of a sensible length (not button through or split) OR black trousers (no jeans, skinny trousers, leggings, combats or flares).
- Navy blue blazer (not black) with school badge.
- Pale blue open-necked blouse (revere collar), OR formal shirt with clip-on school tie.
- Navy cardigan or V-necked pullover.
- Coat - plain, navy or black, with no patterns or motif (not denim or leather).
- Black or navy scarf.
- Traditional black shoes with black soles, black laces (if lace ups) and all black stitching (not trainers, canvas shoes or boots) to be worn thoughout the day and to and from school. (Trainers may be worn at break and lunch time.)
- White or navy knee length socks, OR black, navy or white tights not patterned and no leg-warmers.
- Hair ribbons must be navy or black
- A watch may be worn as well as a simple chain or crucifix inside the blouse.
- Earrings (only one pair) if worn should be gold or silver sleepers or studs. (Nose studs or other visible piercings are not permitted.) No other jewellery (rings, earrings or piercings) is permitted. (The school will not be held responsible for expensive items of jewellery lost on the premises.)
Boys:
- Dark grey or black trousers (not brushed cotton, combats or jeans).
- Navy blazer (not black) with school badge.
- Pale blue shirt.
- Navy V-necked pullover or cardigan.
- Clip on school tie.
- Coat – plain navy or black, with no patterns or motifs (not denim or leather).
- Black or navy scarf.
- Traditional black shoes with black soles, black laces (if lace ups) and all black stitching (NOT trainers, black canvas shoes or boots) to be worn throughout the day and to and from school. (Trainers may be worn at break and lunch time.)
- Black or grey socks.
- A watch may be worn and a simple chain or crucifix inside the shirt.
- No other jewellery (e.g. rings, earrings or piercings) is permitted.
- No earrings or studs to be worn, to, from or at school. (The school will not be held responsible for expensive items of jewellery lost on the premises.)
Girls and Boys
ALL ITEMS OF UNIFORM SHOULD BE CLEARLY MARKED WITH OWNER'S NAME
- Hats and caps are not be worn to and from school, although during the winter months when inclement weather sets in a plain black woolly hat may be worn (students will be notified).
- Hooded sweatshirt tops are banned.
- Blazers are to be worn at all times.
- All students must have a school bag capable of being closed with zip or buckle (available from the school). All students must have a pen, pencil, rubber, ruler, geometry set, small scientific calculator and a dictionary. All students should bring a reading book each day.
- A neat and tidy hairstyle is an essential part of the uniform (patterns or lines cut into the hair or into eyebrows are not acceptable). No extreme or dyed hairstyles are permitted.
- Make up, nail varnish and false nails are not allowed.
- No visible tattoos are permitted.
MOBILE PHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED IN SCHOOL FOR YEARS 7-11 AND WILL BE CONFISCATED FOR ONE WEEK.
Sixth Form Uniform
Compliance with the uniform code is mandatory.
Girls:
- Black trousers or skirt
- White formal blouse
- Black blazer (with School Badge) or black suit jacket
- Black or grey v-neck sweater (optional)
- Sixth Form tie (worn correctly: top button fastened, tie with appropriately sized knot)
- Conventional black shoes
- Dark coat (no denim or leather, or coats with pattern or motif)
- Black or navy scarf
- Caps, hats and hooded sweatshirt tops are banned, however a plain black woolly hat is permitted during the cold winter months.
Boys:
- Black trousers
- White shirt
- Black blazer (with School Badge) or black suit jacket
- Black or grey v-neck sweater (optional)
- Sixth form tie (worn correctly: top button fastened, tie with appropriately sized knot)
- Conventional black shoes
- Dark coat (no denim or leather, or coats with pattern or motif)
- Black or navy scarf
- Caps, hats and hooded sweatshirt tops are banned, however a plain black woolly hat is permitted during the cold winter months.
Girls and Boys:
- Modest amount of jewellery is permitted (no oversize rings or earrings, etc)
- Sensible hairstyles, no lines or extreme styles
- No shaved or patterned eyebrows
- No visible tattoos are permitted
It will be possible to order a Sixth Form blazer from the school (approximate cost will be £25) although most Sixth Form students have expressed a preference to wear a black suit.
Mobile phones should not be used around the premises; they can ONLY be used in the Sixth Form Common Room.
