teacher of English

St Thomas More Catholic School is a mixed, independent Academy within the Cardinal Hume Academies Trust and comprises approximately 1,000 students, aged 11 - 18. The school has excellent facilities and in June 2013 and January 2019 was judged by Ofsted as an ‘Outstanding School’. Our students work hard and achieve success.

We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Teacher of English to join the school's English Department, starting in September 2022. The post would suit a committed and skilled teacher who wants to make a difference and help all our students achieve the highest possible standards.  A willingness to teach other related subjects is an advantage.  Recruitment and retention allowance will be negotiable for the right candidate.

Administrator AND WELFARE OFFICER (mATERNITY COVER)
 

St Thomas More Catholic School is a mixed, independent Academy within the Cardinal Hume Academies Trust and is comprised of approximately 1,200 students, aged 11 - 18. The school has excellent facilities and in June 2019 was judged by Ofsted as an ‘Outstanding School’. Our students work hard and achieve success.

What we are looking for:

We have a great opportunity for an Administrator and Welfare Officer (Maternity Cover) to join our friendly and supportive team as soon as possible.

The successful applicant will be well-organised, caring, adaptable, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and will have a current first aid qualification or a willingness to obtain one. Some knowledge of Word, Excel and SIMS is desirable. The job includes providing general administrative support as part of a busy school office, including cover for reception, producing school correspondence, as well as providing first aid, medical and other welfare services to students. Training will be given where necessary.  The job description and personal specification are attached below.

The successful applicant will be on expected to work 36 hours a week.
