By the end of Key Stage 3 pupils are advised and encouraged

to
ensure that the
programmes of study for Years 10 and 11 will allow the individual pupils
to flourish and achieve the highest academic achievement possible.
Key Stage 4
In Years 10 and 11 pupils take GCSE in Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Science and ICT. In addition to this, pupils choose up to four other subjects. Vocational courses are offered in Art & Design, Business Studies, ICT and Media Studies. These vocational courses can lead to further qualifications either at Colleges or through employment. Each year many pupils are successful in gaining admission to Universities and Colleges of Higher Education, as well as to professional and vocational establishments.
It is the school policy that all pupils who are entered for public examinations will have completed the necessary coursework and are judged capable of being awarded a certificate.
Key Stage 5
Sixth Form is a vibrant and innovative environment for learning and pupils are offered a wide variety of AS/A2 level subjects. We are very proud that many of our pupils at Key Stage 4 stay on to the Sixth Form. All pupils are expected to take part in the religious life of the school and to seek involvement in all the extra curricular activities that the school has to offer. All Sixth Form pupils are advised as to the best courses and places available at Universities and Colleges of Higher Education.
