Within the Borough of Haringey there are two school sport partnerships, the St Thomas More School Partnership and Woodside Partnership.  All Infant, Junior, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools within the Borough are involved in this programme.  The focus of the programme is to achieve the Public Service Agreement set by the Government as part of their Physical Education, School Sport for Young People (PESSYP) strategy.  The project is designed to produce a minimum of two hours high quality PE within the curriculum for all young people with an aim of providing up to five hours of physical activity during out of school hours clubs.

The St Thomas More School Sport Partnership is made up of seven Secondary Schools and 35 Primary Schools.  These schools come together as families to ensure that the young people of Haringey have access to a wide range of high quality sporting and physical activities.  Within the partnership there are ten School Sports Coordinators who are responsible for delivering high quality PE and ensuring that festivals and competitions take place within the Borough.
