A Level Results Day 2016

A-Level Students Achieve Top Grades Again

There were celebrations, smiles and a few tears as students tore open their envelopes on Thursday, 18 August, rang university admission desks and shared news with parents.  Executive Headteacher, Mr Tissot said, “It has been a bumper year at the school and I am delighted that we have secured another improvement in the overall A*-C pass rate (to 85%).   This means that even more of our students will be going on to the best universities.”

Mr Rowland, Head of School, said, “I am very proud of our students and what they have achieved.  Despite the rumours of national volatility in results, our results have improved from last year and students have performed consistently well across the piece.”

Head of Sixth Form, Mr Saunders, said, “We measure success against target grades and I am delighted that so many of our students have exceeded their set targets this year.”

Michelange pictured below with fellow A* grade student Dorcas said, “I am convinced the extra sessions provided by our teachers on Saturdays and during holidays made a real difference to the grades I achieved”.

Michelange secured an A grade in Economics with Bs in Maths and Chemistry and is going on to study Accounting and Financial Management at Nottingham University.
