Last week saw sporting triumph in judo, football and netball.

Simone Cioara Mantino in 9BK1 represented St Thomas More in the London Regional School’s Judo Championship. Simone obtained the silver medal required to qualify for the National School’s Championship, which he will take part in next year. This is Simone’s third medal of the term, having already taken one gold and one silver! A big well done to him and we wish him well in the National competition.

The Year 7 boys’ football team are now second in the Haringey League after beating Highgate Wood 6-0. Isaac diminished his opposition’s confidence by scoring hat-trick.
The Year 8 boys’ football team beat Heathland 2-1 in the second round of the Middlesex Cup. Goals from Xavi and Rennie enabled the team to progress to the next stage.

The Years 7, 9 and 10 girls’ netball teams all played against Heartlands High School this week. The Year 7 team played exceptionally as always, coming away with a 10-1 victory.
The Year 10 team had an incredibly close match, featuring an impressive comeback from our girls. Unfortunately, they lost 10-7, but the team played fantastically throughout, and gave the spectators an exciting afternoon!
The Year 9 girls also played incredibly well, but unfortunately lost 13-6.
